Sir Vince Cable has today been elected Leader of the Liberal Democrats. He was first elected to Parliament in 1997 to serve Twickenham. Sir Vince has been Deputy Leader and Acting Leader of the party. He also served as Business Secretary in the Coalition Government between 2010 and 2015.
