For many months the Archimedes Screw, next to the Passport Office on Freemans Reach, has not been working. Many residents have asked us about this. We are pleased that the works for its repair have been placed by Durham County Council with we hope a completion in mid-March.

Please note that there is no councillors’ surgery tomorrow evening as Alington House is closed. The next one will be on Thursday 6 February at 6pm. A very happy new year to you all.
