Your Liberal Democrat Councillors are saddened to hear the news of the death of Ron Hogg, former Police Commissioner for Durham Constabulary.

He had held the post since it was created in 2012.

Cllr Richard Ormerod said:

“Ron was very committed to making our communities safer and worked hard to achieve real improvements.”

“Although we were from different parties, I always found Ron easy to work with and am particularly grateful for the help he gave in sorting out anti-social behaviour in Sidegate Car Park.”
