Civitas, a registered charity is now offering a Saturday morning Civitas School in the centre of Durham and is inviting parents of local children to apply.
It is aimed at children from Years 3 to 6 who have fallen behind in English and Maths and helps children catch up. Following Covid, that has become an even more pressing need. They operate two classes of 10 children each and run from 9 am to 12.30 pm on Saturdays. Further information can be found at www.civitasschools.org.uk
It is an entirely charitable venture, and they charge £2 per child per week.
The school is using the city centre premises owned by Christchurch Durham on Claypath.
