Durham County Council’s household waste recycling centres move to winter opening hours from today.

For the majority of sites (including Pity Me) this means opening between 9am and 3.30pm.In a change from previous years Coxhoe will now close on a Monday instead of a Friday.

While the sites have returned to a more ‘normal’ appearance, measures are still in place to ensure the safety of site staff and members of the public. There are still restrictions in place on visitor numbers to ensure social distancing can be adhered to.
