To enable the start of the construction the Sands car park will close on 12 August for a period of two years to reopen a 2-minute walk away along Freemans Place.

The coach park will also relocate to Belmont Park and Ride on the A690 with visitors continuing to be dropped off and picked up at the existing stop on Freeman’s Place.

Sidegate car park next to the Radisson Hotel, will change from a long stay car park to a short stay car park to accommodate visitors, shoppers and Freeman’s Quay Leisure Centre users.

Your councillors are disappointed that the council has cynically increased charges next week for long stay at Sidegate car park.
